On March 1, 2017, the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) published its Cybersecurity Requirements for Financial Services Companies.  This new regulation applies to all entities subject to NYDFS authority under New York insurance, banking or financial services law.  This includes insurance companies, producers, and others licensed to do business in New York.  The Regulation’s requirements are significant and include mandates for establishing a cybersecurity program, cybersecurity policies and designation of a Chief Information Security Officer.

On Monday, July 31, 2017, Ted Augustinos and Brian Casey, partners in the law firm of Locke Lord LLP, will present a course titled:  NY DFS Cybersecurity Regulation:  Compliance Challenges for Insurers and Producers.  The speakers will review the new requirements and explain how insurers and producers licensed by the New York DFS should begin acting now to comply with these new cybersecurity requirements.  They will also provide guidance to achieve compliance.  This 90 minute webinar will allow time for questions and answers.
